Now that some of the school has left for the holidays I suppose now would be the best time to start work on my stairs side project?
Professors (I'm sorry, I'm not sure who would be able to authorise this), would it be at all possible sometime in the near future to have just one or two sections of the stairs marked off bounds for some testing? It wouldn't be for sometime and I'd be happy to work very early or very late to avoid disruption. I understand if it's just not possible though.
Another thing this relative solitude is good for? Study. |

I need to find a way to stay awake and aware on these potions long enough to pay attention to what's happening on these journals.
I'm still a little concerned about missing so much school but I have an idea for a side project (Marcus) - after my fall and Miss Frobisher's attack I've been thinking that it might be interesting and useful to come up with a failsafe for the stairs, just in case there are anymore 'accidents'. I'm surprised there aren't any in place already.
I keep dreaming about lentils and biting rats.

I've been having nosebleeds all week and now I've got a headache that won't go away.
I still feel like I'm falling behind on everything.
I had another dream again last night; I woke up late for class and by the time I managed to get there it was over and I'd missed so they kicked me out of Hogwarts. Beginning to seriously consider looking into Dreamless |

I have a song in my head but I don't know what it is. I have the niggling feeling that it hasn't been released yet
I have a niggling feeling of impending doom - have I forgotten to do something important? I wish thoughts could be kept in filing cabinets.
I had a slightly stressful dream last night where I was trying to defend this house but whenever I closed a front window someone would open a back one, and vice versa. I remember pitchforks but not much else. Small mercies I suppose. |

I had a disturbing dream last night...
( cut to save space and for creepiness )
It turned out that I hadn't woken up. I was still asleep, thankfully, and when I did wake up I still had all my teeth. It was far from pleasant though.
Also, I think I'm already failing my classes. I don't know how, but I'm sure of it. Are there any friendly 7th year students who'd help out a slightly stupid Ravenclaw with his classes? I think I'm doing poorly in Astronomy and Divination, but I could use the help in any of them.
I'm also taking Charms, DADA, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions and Transfigurations I still feel bad that I didn't pick up Runes
I'm happy to pass it on as well, I'm sure I can find the time to tutor if anyone needs it (although I wouldn't recommend anyone over year 5 seeking my help, I don't know how valuable it would be) |

Well, I'm late to the party, but at least I've arrived to it at all. These journals are an interesting bit of magic... I wonder what spells were used to make it work. I might try and reverse cast them later, just to know.
Maybe.
I didn't do as well as I'd hoped on my OWLS. I got O's on everything except CoMC, which I'm not taking to NEWT level but still, seeing that E among all those O's made my heart sink a little bit.
Stupid.
Oh well, new term soon. Hopefully I can do better this year. |
